LOST IN TRANSLATION SCARF IN NEW KNITTING BOOK

Knitting expert to the stars EDITH EIG is offering movie fans the chance to make the scarf SCARLETT JOHANNSON knitted in LOST IN TRANSLATION after including the pattern in her new book.
French-born Eig knitted the famous blue scarf for pal SOFIA COPPOLA's acclaimed film and now the pattern features in her new book MOTHER OF PURL: FRIENDS, FUN + FABULOUS DESIGNS AT HOLLYWOOD'S KNITTING CIRCLE.
Eig says, "Sofia has become such a fan of knitting, she incorporates her art in all her films - the scarf which Scarlett Johansson's character created to pass the time in Lost In Translation was an original.
"She asked me to create a scarf for the film. I was supposed to give Scarlett a few knitting lessons too, but that didn't work out. I'm thrilled that Sofia takes it so seriously and includes the art in her films. I'm sure MARIE ANTOINETTE will be knitting in her next film."
Coppola is one of many celebrity clients who have taken knitting lessons from Eig and still call on her for help.
Other fans include CARNIE WILSON, CATHERINE ZETA JONES and WILL + GRACE star DEBRA MESSING.

Hollywood superstar CATHERINE ZETA-JONES is still determined to forge herself a career as a showgirl in Las Vegas, and has been ever since watching a video of CHER as a child.
The Oscar-winning CHICAGO actress counts her Cher videotape as her number one inspiration, and admits holding down a job as a showgirl is her ultimate ambition.
The 36-year-old says, "I want to do a Vegas show. I had a video of Cher in Vegas I saw as a kid and I watched it so much it got kind of warped.
"Get me the head-dress and high heels and I'll be there."
